Trading-incident internal audit review for a tier 1 US bank
A tier 1 US bank commissioned a special internal audit review of a material trading incident. The mandate was the design and operating effectiveness of the controls around the event, and the root-cause analysis the board and regulators would expect. The review was co-sourced with a Big Four firm and needed specialist audit management that could work inside that programme from day one.
GRT supplied an audit manager into the co-sourced team. Our specialist worked to the bank’s internal audit mandate, inside the Big Four programme, on control design, operating effectiveness and root cause.
GRT delivered audit management inside a larger review team, not a boutique running a side review. We field senior specialists who join programmes at this scale, and we field our own teams when the client wants GRT to run the workstream.
