With over fourteen years of regulatory experience, Sheahara has strong subject matter expertise in the regulatory and legal requirements around Anti-Money Laundering and ‘Know Your Customer’ checks across retail, corporate, investment banking and wealth management firms. Her wide ranging experience has included writing, reviewing, socialising and implementing financial crime policies and procedures, recruiting and managing teams to run both review and remediation projects, and undertaking training of Financial Crime Compliance teams.
Most recently she acted as a senior assessment lead for assurance within a global bank’s Global Standards Programme, having already completed other financial crime assignments for the bank, and worked at another firm to support the Global Head of Financial Crime Compliance.
Provided in-depth assessment and review activity for key Global Standard initiatives across the programme, projects and lines of business.
Designed and provided training on topics relevant to KYC and EDD such as source of wealth, funds and various entity types.
