About this diagnostic

This tool covers the core EMIR obligations that matter operationally today: counterparty classification and clearing thresholds, the clearing obligation, the EMIR 3 active account requirement (AAR), trade reporting quality (including Refit ISO 20022), risk mitigation for uncleared OTC derivatives, and governance/controls. It produces a spider chart and prioritised observations. Designed to be completed in 10–15 minutes by a derivatives operations, risk, compliance or clearing lead.

Aligned with Regulation (EU) No 648/2012 as amended by EMIR Refit and EMIR 3 (Regulation (EU) 2024/2987), and related RTS on reporting and active account conditions.
